Description: Haughty and proud, these pointy-eared inhabitants of Noverra consider themselves to be the fount of life and culture. They are easily regarded as some of the most beautiful beings in Noverra, a fact in which they take pride. Elves are forest-dwellers and excellent in the arts of camouflage, tracking and hunting, and always make sure to respect their habitat and its inhabitants--or well, its animal inhabitants.
Culture:Elves harbour a slight obsession with the purity of both body and mind. Magic runs strong in their blood, as does belief in the gods and, usually, vehemence of the Demigod. In comparison to other races they're quite spiritual and keep very strong ties with the gods, and they produce strong mages.
Their mentality is that it takes a village to raise a child, and they tend to shelter their young until a fairly late stage in childhood. Elves will usually dwell in small, close-knit settlements rather than flock together, though travel between elven settlements is normal. Elves are loyal and steadfast in love; it's not uncommon for a pair to remain a couple throughout their long lifespans over any time or distance.
An elf's profession is their vocation and they can get pretty darn passionate about it. They have strong moral compasses and are more likely to veer towards the "good" side of the spectrum, though "good" here doesn't always mean "nice".
Origin: They believe that they are one of the earliest races of Noverra, directly descended from the God of the Moon and twice blessed by him and the Sun Goddess.
Avg. Lifespan: They can reach up to 600 years. At 150 they are still considered young, at 300 middle-aged and at 500 old.
Avg. Height: 6' (183 cm) - 7'2" (219 cm)
